What is the value of an N.D. designation?
An N.D. designation demonstrates to the public that you have been trained in the science and practice of Naturopathy. It also signifies that you have passed the appropriate exams required for the N.D. designation. You will obtain knowledge of alternative natural health, which hopefully will serve you well as you seek to help others in obtaining and maintaining health. However, as in any program or endeavor, you will get out of the program just what you put in.

What will I be able to do with this type of education? Can I prescribe or diagnose or perform surgeries?
Prescribing, diagnosing and performing surgeries is generally a part of the 'practice of medicine' and it would be a violation of state medical practice laws for anyone to prescribe, diagnose or perform surgeries without holding the appropriate state license. A federal drug license is also needed to prescribe drugs legally. Naturopaths do not prescribe or advocate the use of drugs. Typically, Naturopaths are referred to as 'drugless doctors'. A traditional naturopathic education does not include training in surgery.
⇑Top of Page

May I put the N.D. designation (or any of the other designations) after my name?
You may always put any educational or professional designation after your name. However, a few states license naturopaths and unless you are licensed in those states, you cannot practice or identify yourself as a naturopath (N.D.)
⇑Top of Page

Is Naturopathy licensed in my state?
It is best that you check with your states laws. Unfortunately, we do not have the information on each state here at Trinity School. You will need to research those laws on your own to find out if you can practice in your state legally. Washington D.C. has a registration law. Some states have not finalized their laws due to legal challenges from those who believe that naturopathy should not be licensed and is a public domain. If laws change after the completion of your program, it is ultimately up to that state as to how they handle the situation. Some states may choose to 'grandfather' in prior ND’s, while others may not.

A helpful website to start a search for licensing information may be on the this website, www.naturalhealth.org

For more information on the registration law in Washington D.C., you may want to contact the Council on Naturopathic Registration and Accreditation, Inc. Their website is www.CNRA.org or by calling 1-800-200-9123.
⇑Top of Page

Does your school have a license or accreditation?
Trinity School is accredited and recognized by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification and Accreditation Board, Inc in Las Vegas, Nevada (www.anmcb.org). We have not, nor do we plan to seek accreditation through the U.S. Department of Education.
⇑Top of Page

I am interested in your school, but I am wondering how your school compares with others.
We believe we have the best direct education program available in naturopathy. We have 5 comprehensive programs composed of a variety of well-designed naturopathic courses. Our students constantly call us to tell us how excited they are over the course materials. We use the best texts available. We have student service representatives to assist you with any problem you may encounter. You will be pleased to know that we are generally a thousand dollars or more less that any other self-study, direct education program offered in this field found in the U.S.
⇑Top of Page

How does Trinity School compare with on-campus programs?
Our self-study approach means that you can study at your own pace, without leaving your home and moving to a campus site. Price is another consideration. Campus programs require tuition large enough to pay for buildings, dormitories, dining facilities, gyms and other facilities that have nothing to do with naturopathy. On campus programs cost $50,000 to $60,000 more than Trinity School.
⇑Top of Page

What can I do with this education once I have completed the program?
Our programs are focused on personal enrichment. However, it is possible to start your own business and take on clients to counsel people in the areas of natural health (if allowed in your state, please refer to the above question in regards to licensing). As far as using this in established organizations such as a doctor’s office, school or nursing home, it really depends on that organization and what they are looking for. We do not have job placement once you have graduated from the program.
⇑Top of Page

Do you have any samples of course work or a sample diploma that you can send to me?
We do not have samples of diplomas or course work at this time. The course work must be typed (unless the directions in the front of the test tell you differently). The questions can be in a variety of formats. They can be True/False, Multiple Choice, Matching, Fill in the blank, Short Essay or Short Answer.
⇑Top of Page

Do you offer any of your programs in a classroom-type setting?
We do not offer a classroom-type setting. Our programs are done only from your home, through the mail (the individual classes are not done directly online). If you are interested in a classroom-type setting, you may want to consider seminars that are offered through Certified Natural Health Professionals (www.cnhp.org). They offer natural health seminars that you can attend. Please check their website for more information.
⇑Top of Page

Do I have to come to Trinity School for any reason?
No, you do not need to come here for any reason. The programs we offer are completed in the convenience of your own home. All course work is submitted through the mail or by e-mail. Once the course work is graded, the Staff of Trinity will mail a grade sheet to you.
⇑Top of Page

What is the refund policy in the event I need to withdraw?
If you withdraw within the first 30 days, you are eligible for a 100% refund (minus the $250 application fee). All the materials need to be returned and in saleable condition. You would also need to send a letter stating the need to withdraw. If materials are returned and in saleable condition, you will get a complete refund (minus the $250 application fee). If the materials are not in saleable condition, a small fee per module would be kept to cover the cost to replace it. After 30 days, the refund would be prorated. After 18 months, tuition is considered fully earned (no refund would be given). Once we get all materials and the letter, we will issue a refund (if one is owed). Receiving a refund can take a minimum of 4-6 weeks. Any issues concerning a refund/return on the books would need to be discussed with Reagan’s Bookstore, if you purchased the books from them (www.reagansbookstore.com).
⇑Top of Page

How long does it take to complete the program?
The programs are done at your own pace. The average times of completion for the programs are:

•Doctor of Naturopathy: 2 years
•Master Herbalist: 1 to 1-½ years
•Certificate in Nutritional Counseling: 1 to 1 ½ years
•Master Iridologist: 1 to 1-½ years
•Certified Health Specialist: 6 to 8 months
•Associate Degree in Biblical Studies: 1 to 1 ½ years

⇑Top of Page

What do the hours mean that are listed beside each class?
The hours listed there are an estimated amount of study hours that you could plan on spending in each class. These are not traditional credit hours because we do not go by traditional credit hours.
⇑Top of Page

How long do I have to complete the program?
Each program has a maximum amount of time to complete it. If the program is not completed within the allotted time frame, all tuition is considered fully earned and not refunded. Also, all coursework completed will be void. Should a student wish to resume studies, that student will need to go through the enrollment process again and enroll under the current fee schedule and curriculum. The ND, MH, CNC, ABS, and MI programs have a five (5) year time limit and the CHS program has a two (2) year time limit. Should a student find that they are experiencing a hardship, they can send a letter to Trinity School explaining the situation to see if an 'exception' can be given. This cannot be done at the time of enrollment. Each student must be enrolled in the ND, MH, CNC, ABS, or MI program for at least 4 years (the CHS at least 1 year) before someone can request the 'exception'. Individual classes have a time limit of 3 months to complete the each class. If a program is added, each student has a time limit of 3 years.
⇑Top of Page

What are the requirements to enroll? Do I need a Bachelor
You do not need a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree to enroll. We require the minimum of a high school diploma or GED to enroll in any program we offer.
⇑Top of Page

When can I enroll?
We have open enrollment. You can enroll whenever you are ready to begin the program.
⇑Top of Page

I have taken classes from other schools, can I have classes waived in this program?
You can submit copies of transcripts for review. Any study you have already completed will be of help to you in your course of study. Since Trinity School is committed to graduating the finest trained naturopaths, we do not give credit for studies completed unless accompanied by a transcript and a course description. Trinity School is very selective in the credit that we issue. We can waive a maximum of 3 classes (depending on the program you choose). If classes are waived, monetary credit could be given towards tuition. CNHP seminars will not waive individual classes in our programs.
⇑Top of Page

If I complete your programs, are the courses I
Each school sets its own policy on accepting credits from other institutions. We cannot guarantee that other schools will offer comparable courses and give credit for work completed at Trinity School. However, we will furnish you with an official transcript and course description for you to use.
⇑Top of Page

What are the tuition fees? Can I get Financial Aid? Do you offer installment plans? Are books included in the tuition fees?
Using financial aid for our programs just depends on the organization providing the funding. Please check with them. We do not have a school code to provide.

Books are an additional cost to the program. These can be purchased through Reagan’s Bookstore (www.reagansbookstore.com). We do recommend using Reagan’s Bookstore, so you know you are getting the correct book. You are not required to purchase from them. However, there may be a few books that are only available at Reagan’s Bookstore.

We are able to offer installment plans for our programs. The pricing is:

Doctor of Naturopathy (books approximately $550-$600)
INSTALLMENTS: $3495 ($250 down, $216.33/mo 15 months)

What if I want to take just one class at a time?
If you do not want to enroll in an entire program (however, it is cost effective to enroll in a program) the cost would be $250 per class, plus the cost of book.

If you are already enrolled in a program, but want just an additional class (not another program) the cost is $200 per class, plus the cost of book.
⇑Top of Page

Do you offer any discounts?
We are able to offer a few discounts. We are allowed to issue a maximum of 2 discounts. The discounts that are available are:* 1) Paid in full Discount
2) Waiving of classes
3) CNHP discount (ND program only)

We are only allowed to waive a MAXIMUM of 3 classes in a program. The only exception to this is for the CHS program. In the CHS program, we are allowed to waive SNH 232 (Anatomy & Physiology) only.

The CNHP discount is applied ONLY when all 5 seminars are completed (Nutrition, Body Work, Body Systems, Iridology and Practicum). The CNHP seminars will waive the Dissertation. The seminars will NOT waive individual classes in our program.

Discounts are subject to change without notice
⇑Top of Page

Can I study with others? Is there is a discount for this?
At this time there is not a discount for study groups. You are more than welcome to study with others. Studying with others is a great way to understand the material! However, when it comes to the test answers, you must answer them on your own. We do realize that some of the answers will be identical (such as multiple choice, or true/false), and this is unavoidable. We will not accept a photocopy of answers for more than one student. If it is found by Trinity School that the answers are identical to another student, you may be asked to resubmit your work and/or you could also be assessed up to a 10% penalty on your grade. The issuance of the penalty is at the discretion of the Staff at Trinity School.
⇑Top of Page

How can I get started with a program?
To get started, you need to submit an application. With the application, you will need to also submit a form of payment (please refer to payment information below for payment info). We accept personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks, and credit cards. We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

We will also need a photo for your student file. This does not need to accompany the application, but we will need it to send out the diploma upon completion. The picture can be a passport style, wallet sized, a snap shot from home, or a photocopy of your drivers license. We do prefer that the photos be mailed or e-mailed.
⇑Top of Page

Once I submit my application, when will I receive my materials? What will I receive?
Generally, once we receive the application with payment, it is about 2 weeks (3-4 business days to process the application, then 5-7 business days for delivery time). Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks to process your application and for the delivery of materials. We try our best to get your materials to you in a timely manner. If materials are needed by a specific date, please plan accordingly. We use UPS to ship materials. Please use a physical shipping address so we can be sure to ship materials with this method. With UPS we are able to track packages and let you know the status of the shipment.

In your first package, you will receive some welcoming information, your course work (the first 2 if you are on installments or all course work if you have paid in full), a financial agreement (if you are on the installment plan), and the book ordering information.

On the financial agreement, you can choose to mail in payments on your own each month, call in a credit card payment each month, send in post-dated checks, or sign up for automatic payments to your credit card each month. Students are able to choose a due date of the 10th or 20th. If payments are received past the 10-day grace period, a late fee of $25 can be applied to the student's account.
⇑Top of Page

When can I order my books?
You can order the books at any time. You can purchase them from Reagan’s Bookstore (www.reagansbookstore.com) or through any other bookstore you may find. Please be sure you are getting the correct version of the book (Reagan’s Bookstore has the information on each book on their website, such as the ISBN #, the Author, etc). You can purchase all the books at one time, or you can purchase the books as you need them. The price of the textbooks depends on the program chosen. Reagan’s Bookstore does offer a 10% student discount off the publisher’s price. Please send all bookstore order forms to Reagan’s Bookstore, not Trinity School.
⇑Top of Page

How often are materials sent to me? How do I know what order to follow?
If you have paid for your program in full, we will send all tests at one time. You can work on the courses in any order you choose.

If you are on the installment plan, we will send 2 tests at a time. When you get down to 1 test in your possession, we will send out the next 2 tests (if payments are current). Please send tests in as you get them finished. This will allow us time to log the test in as arriving, and get the next set on their way to you. If you are working faster than the payments are allowing, we may slow down the sending out of tests and/or ask for additional payments. The last test will NOT be sent until all financial obligations are met. Coursework will be sent by class number, in numerical order.
⇑Top of Page

What do I do if I have a question on a test? Do you have instructors?
We do not have instructors, as this is a self-study course. We do help as much as we possibly can. If you have a question on a test, you will speak to the person that grades that test. We can guide you to the page the answer may be located. We cannot, under any circumstances, give you the answer to the question. We are able to help on a limited amount of questions. This is at the discretion of the person that grades the test. The reason we are able to help on a limited number of questions is because the tests are open book.
⇑Top of Page

How do I submit a test? Once I submit a test, how long will it take for me to get the results?
Please follow the instructions at the beginning of each test. Typically, you will have to type your answers (there is no exception to this). However, some of our tests have been reformatted to include answer sheets. Please follow the instructions for each test. You will then just need to mail your test to us for grading.

You can submit your test through mail, by fax, or by email. Please email tests to info@trinityschool.org

The Staff at Trinity School understands you are anxious to get the results of your test. We make every effort to get tests graded as quickly as possible. The tests are divided up between a few people, and we each grade a specific set of tests. So the time it takes to get a grade depends on where everyone is at in the grading process. This is why you may get one grade before another. We are currently at a 4-6 week turn around time on grading tests. The Dissertation is currently at a minimum of a 12-16 week turn around (however, it could possibly take longer).

We grade all tests and Dissertations in the order they are received. Please do not request that a test be moved to the front of the line for grading. We cannot do that, as it is not fair to students that have turned tests in prior. We try to be fair to all our students. So we cannot, under any circumstances, move a test to the front of the line for grading. If you need to graduate by a certain date, please plan accordingly with the dates listed above.
⇑Top of Page

Is it possible to fail a test? What do I have to do if I fail a test?
We require the minimum of an 85% or higher to pass a course. If you score below an 85%, you will be required to resubmit your answers, for only the questions that were missed. Once you resubmit a test, the highest possible grade you can get is an 85%. We require that the answers for the resubmission be typed.

This is the ONLY time resubmissions are allowed.
⇑Top of Page

When my course work is done, is there a final exam? What about an internship?
There is no final exam through Trinity School. You would, however, be prepared through our course of study to pass a national naturopathic exam. This exam is offered to graduating students of schools accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Registration and Accreditation. Trinity is such a school. For more information on the test, please visit their website at www.anma.com. This test is completely optional but is an additional fee. This does not give you licensing. It will give you an extra certificate to validate your knowledge.

There is no internship available.
⇑Top of Page

When will I receive my diploma? Are transcripts available?
Diplomas are sent once all course work is completed and passed, all monies are paid, and the photo is in your file. Diplomas are sent weekly. You are always welcome to call and see if everything is completed and if your diploma is ready to be sent out. The first copy of the diploma is free (this is a larger document, approximately an 11 x 14 and on very nice paper, very professional looking). Any additional diplomas will be $10 each. Diplomas are sent by UPS.

We are also able offer the diplomas in smaller sizes. We have the fax-sized diploma (this is printed on regular white paper 8.5 x 11), and a wallet sized diploma. Each of these will be $10 per copy. We do not have the diplomas on hand, so we have to request these from a printer. These have to be requested, therefore there will be a $10 fee associated with each request and these will be mailed out to you.

Transcripts are also available upon request. We can send these directly to you or to an organization. The first transcript is free. Each additional copy is $10.
⇑Top of Page

Once I am done with my program, can I add on other programs?
You can add on additional programs at any time. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee per program. Then the fee is $200 per class.
⇑Top of Page

What if I want to take all the programs you offer, is there a discount for that?
We do have a special price for enrolling in all 4 programs at one time. This only applies to the ND, MH, CNC, & CHS program. This price is good at the time of enrollment only.

Installment Plan $4225 ($400 down, 24 monthly payments $159.38)
Pay in Full Plan $3955

The approximate cost of books through Reagan's Bookstore is $750-$800
⇑Top of Page

Are you able to give referrals or information on practitioners?
Due to the privacy of our students/graduates, we are not allowed to release their contact information. We do not have a database compiled, at this time, of people that want to be contacted for referrals/information. Please feel free to look at a website that may help you find a practitioner in your area, www.healthpro.net. The people listed on this site may or may not be a graduate of Trinity School.
⇑Top of Page

How many students are currently enrolled in your programs?
We have many students currently enrolled in our program and enrollments are steadily increasing.
⇑Top of Page

How many graduates do you have?
Trinity School sends diplomas weekly! That number keeps increasing each week!
⇑Top of Page

How are you able to offer low tuition prices compared to your competitors?
Trinity School is a not for profit organization. This means we are able to offer lower tuition costs to our students.
⇑Top of Page

What is the Dissertation?
This is only required in the Doctor of Naturopathy program. The Dissertation is a research paper. It must be a minimum of 45 pages, but no more than 75 pages. It must also be bound before submitting this for grading. We do send guidelines upon enrollment into the ND program. The topic must be related to natural health. We do suggest some topics for you, however, you can choose your own topic. If you choose your own topic, you must submit an outline for approval on the topic you choose. The only way the Dissertation will be waived is by completing the 5 CNHP seminars (Iridology, Nutrition, Body Work, Body Systems, and Practicum). Once all 5 are completed, the Dissertation is waived.

We understand students are very anxious to hear the results of the Dissertation. We make every effort to get these graded in a timely fashion. It is not uncommon for the grading process to take a minimum of 12-16 weeks. We thank our students for their patience.
